If you want those gorgeous bakery-style domed muffins, try spacing them out in the tin instead of baking every cavity next to another. Giving each muffin room to expand encourages a taller rise and prevents the tops from growing into each other.
Let them cool before icing
If the muffins are still warm, the icing will melt straight off. Waiting until they’re completely cool gives you those lovely defined icing drizzles.
